Community Support Network
“Community Connections”.
In collaboration with local community groups, the pilot program was tested across five locations, including the Eurobodalla, Shoalhaven and Riverina regions, following the Black Summer bushfires.
The South Coast Health and Sustainability Alliance has secured funding through to 2026 to support twelve local Heatwave Havens, upgrading them with high-speed satellite internet access points.
Training and ongoing support will be provided to participating Havens over the next three years, ensuring communities are prepared, connected and resilient.
